Today wasn't a proud day for me. Not only did my plans for Saturday get cancelled, resulting in my downing my emotion in Krispy Kreme doughnuts, but I spent 20 minutes stalking and constantly refreshing the MAC website waiting for the RiRi loves summer collection to go live then waiting for the stock check or whatever that waiting page was for.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheOfWF-z5QIQaSGTSfA49MPp9gNMi-GMwI0-4zBNEuQBDmXG5SeaLrokeDNoGN8vvnYqE7TqHDOkTGVL7X8YXAamP7QV9sBVcbSS1FXc0xFO-DCjT1zrEu-S7X4SPw0mRqeFBxJgb9A-4/s1600/mac+order.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="220" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheOfWF-z5QIQaSGTSfA49MPp9gNMi-GMwI0-4zBNEuQBDmXG5SeaLrokeDNoGN8vvnYqE7TqHDOkTGVL7X8YXAamP7QV9sBVcbSS1FXc0xFO-DCjT1zrEu-S7X4SPw0mRqeFBxJgb9A-4/s320/mac+order.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What I ordered, I seem to be one of few who managed to get Heaux.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />I really don't know why though! I don't like 'RiRi' and the colours aren't exactly unique. <br />The only reason I can think of is that I knew there were MAC lipsticks coming out, their lipsticks are my downfall. I love them so much. I managed to resist one of them, RiRi boy, but I did order the lustre drops and the quad to move some of my current eyeshadows into for my holiday (they're the only holiday makeup bits i'm buying). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm justifying the purchase of these with the fact that I've sold five of my blushes on Ebay in the last two weeks, selling five things to replace them with three is fine right? I mean it is less over all and the lustre drops don't take up much space.<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But ultimately what today means is that this launch was the first big event of my summer, which leads me to wonder - How obsessed is too obsessed?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Clearly spending a good 20-30 minutes watching a website isn't normal for most people but that's what we do when we're passionate about some thing, isn't it? People camp out in the freezing rain for book releases, film premiers and hell even a new mobile phone despite having one that works perfectly fine and is a model some people would kill for.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Why? Frankly the only sensible answer is because we're crazy. There is no other real reason just pure insanity, it's the same reason I own 8 different shades of purple nail varnish and half a dozen body butters that I never use. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to watching my Johnathan Creek boxset and eating my next doughnut.</div>

Ladies and Gentlemen (I'm guessing mostly ladies), let me ask you a question - can you be physically attracted to a colour?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I ask this because I think I am. Royal Blue and I are in love, I'm sorry we just can't fight it anymore.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://cdnd.lystit.com/photos/2012/10/12/hm-blue-blouse-product-1-4988257-301573435_large_flex.jpeg" width="272" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>(Shirt H+M)</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Everything I'm lusting after lately seems to be this lovely, bold saturated blue. The blouse pictured above was the start of this for me I think, I blame the blouse. I'm trying to find another online as a spare but <strike>I'm not succeeding </strike> writing that sentence inspired me to take another look around and I found one on ebay (it's a size bigger but it'll do!). This obsession has spilled out into everything else, nail varnish, eyeshadow and even wanting to dye my hair again (despite promising myself I'll grow it out naturally and won't dye it again at least until next yet).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Gelly Nail Effects - Blue Grape" height="320" src="http://www.barrym.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/382x/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/g/e/gelly_nail_paint_17_ad2b85.jpg" width="320" /><br />
Meet Barry M's Gelly nail varnish in Blue Grape.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
I'm currently loving this nail varnish, even if it chipped in 24 hours (every nail varnish does on me, it's inevitable).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Would painting my bedroom be a step to far?</div>

I'd like to introduce you to a friend I've been working on for the last few weeks.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_-7cAMuif9-MHZzLdGstIbTnOCCjAfHmdFzbGQLso0-5jqna0rc05uAE6EOK5rkmkL3zcmDTsSQEgEQ2paS4GA6RkIDEdTMSaYc7fm3rwcNC7XeoiNaZtDFUJGEFsq-QCU20I6fdcguY/s1600/P6170147.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="293" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_-7cAMuif9-MHZzLdGstIbTnOCCjAfHmdFzbGQLso0-5jqna0rc05uAE6EOK5rkmkL3zcmDTsSQEgEQ2paS4GA6RkIDEdTMSaYc7fm3rwcNC7XeoiNaZtDFUJGEFsq-QCU20I6fdcguY/s320/P6170147.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is my Ideas Jar.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've filled it with little tied up notes that each have an idea on, the plan is to open one or two at a time and complete them through the summer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The ideas are colour coded. Yellow are projects, blue are wishlists and pink are travel related. I'll give you a few examples of these;<br />Yellow - Recover my headboard with new material<br />Yellow - Spend a weekend watching every Big Bang Theory Episode<br />Blue - Buy a new camera (I now have to do this anyway)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Blue - Buy Benefits Peek-a-bright eyes set</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pink - Visit Bath and the thermal spring</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pink - Drive up a motorway and get off at a random exit, unplanned roadtrip</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This way I can know the type of the thing i'm after, there's no point in looking for a shopping high if you're opening a travel one.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Today I had all my coursework signed off and I'm officially done with my course, my summer has started. As you can see from the picture above I've just picked out my first 'Idea'.<br />'Pretty up my jars'</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRW_C01B95zkqQ2IYYamJFmHgaT6cnlNbj8rJSYcJlNq9s5XqYmkaqwTuMU-LIhJt9CXghyxFSbrGuSypqU1NZM9bbaJTrzotOx_KuoJ4IAjg87evNV6G7MgM-VlUhOQ5Y61JvCZbGaNs/s1600/P6170150.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRW_C01B95zkqQ2IYYamJFmHgaT6cnlNbj8rJSYcJlNq9s5XqYmkaqwTuMU-LIhJt9CXghyxFSbrGuSypqU1NZM9bbaJTrzotOx_KuoJ4IAjg87evNV6G7MgM-VlUhOQ5Y61JvCZbGaNs/s320/P6170150.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As you can see, I'm not making the most of my sweet shop jars (Ignore Corey Taylor there in the background). My Idea note also has a few suggestions I thought up at the time, sweets, pretty paper and some products like my eyelash jar.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'll be working on this tomorrow and Wednesday then Thursday I'm camera shopping.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I plan to empty this jar by the end of summer. I think this is a great way to spend my free time in the summer, I also plan to look for a job though it could mean waiting until people start interviewing Christmas staff. I don't like looking back at a holiday or half term and regretting not doing anything and having nothing to show for my free time.</div>

Today my lipstick of choice is a colour I overlook a lot, it's pretty but it doesn't really stand out colour wise.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Meet the lovely Chanel Rouge Allure in 07 Genius.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Chanel 07 Genius</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I might be wrong but I think the range of shades this is part of has been discontinued, I've had it nearly a year.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's almost my go to ego boost when I need it. I wore it the first time I took my driving theory test and when I retook my English GCSE (I failed that driving test but got a C in my English which means I don't have to study it again).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm surely not the only person who has a confidence lipcolour/ For most people I'd guess it's more of a bold red or purple. If everyones looking at your lipstick then no ones noticing your nearly having a panic attack, right?</div>

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">In Just over a month I will be headed to Italy, with my dearest mother, for a holiday with sun and beautiful places.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="230" src="http://www.travelroma.com/img/gallery/hotels-in-rome/fontana-di-trevi-rome-001.jpg" width="320" /><br />
(The Trevi fountain, Rome)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br />This trip has been planned since early December so I've had plenty of time to practice packing, decide what clothing I'm going to bring and debate what makeup try to fit into my suitcase and hand luggage.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">It will be the first time I've left England in nearly five years and since I'm planning to study travel and tourism in September it's probably about time I actually traveled. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">We're taking a tour that visits </span><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="background-color: white;">Pompei, Sorrento, Amalfi Coast, Mount Vesuvius, Montecassino, </span></span><span style="background-color: white;"><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Rome, Florence, Assisi and Orvieto so around the west of Italy.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="250" src="http://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01809/florence-corbis_1809918b.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(Florence skyline)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Having purchased an Italian phrasebook and guide books to Florence and Rome (the cities we have exploring time in) the minute we booked plus EHIC cards and passports ready to go, I've got the basics done and all I've had to do is worry over which eyeshadow(s) to take as well as if I'll wear jeans while I'm there or stick to dresses. The little things have been getting to me. For example I've been desperately searching for a reasonably priced pair of nice looking ankle boots with a low heel (they all seem to be either awful or around £80).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I've already brought my trasparent SPF30, half a dozen dresses, a reading book and anti-bac wipes for surfaces and hands (among other purchases).</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I've been debating shelling out for a new camera but stories of pickpockets have been putting me off and i'm worried about losing a shiny new Samsung NX300 somewhere I can't find it but I know I want one and it seems pointless waiting until after I'm where I'll get the best pictures. I do however have a digital Polaroid and 100 film sheets i've yet to use, Polaroids of Pompeii could be fun... I've had a lot of time to think about this yet I'm no nearer to deciding.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSH9_lfq0sC8-25lZr5UPAgCxTa-xpmpHuOyrCCncpCGEcRL36Lkm85dVQS2qoZLWxyX91YOvTnmR3_VKE3dDhONccr_tLbA-IKk02KXjoE8QbwNVWP5vgIbX6MdkNZt9x8KWw_56I_Tc/s1600/P6040084.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSH9_lfq0sC8-25lZr5UPAgCxTa-xpmpHuOyrCCncpCGEcRL36Lkm85dVQS2qoZLWxyX91YOvTnmR3_VKE3dDhONccr_tLbA-IKk02KXjoE8QbwNVWP5vgIbX6MdkNZt9x8KWw_56I_Tc/s320/P6040084.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">(My old MAC quad, Interior life)</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Having mentioned eyeshadow, I'm planning to buy a MAC quad with a new Patina to christen it and then move in three of my current MAC eyeshadows to avoid carrying around a 15 palette or a pigment to spill. This might seem excessive for once trip but I plan to travel quite a bit so no doubt I'll use it a lot. I barely used my Interior life quad, having picked it up on a whim from an outlet, so I've sold it on ebay (along with two blushes) and can justify filling the gap in my collection. Who pays £20 for a used blush worth £21.50 new is beyond me but it works out well for me so I won't complain.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">This post has become rather rambling so I'll bring it to a rather poorly paced end with a question; What are your travel tips?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>

Currently my life consists of collage work and driving lessons, I only have 4 college units left now and I'm not finding them too interesting (one of them is cream-self tanning, can you blame a girl who loves being pale for not being enthused about a tan?). My Driving test is booked for the end of May and I'm no where near ready so in the next 5 weeks I have 9 two hour lessons, sadly this also means I have no money left in my savings to be frivolous with. I'm having a carboot sale on Saturday and have sold a mismatched foundation on ebay so I should have money to get by on but I can't waste any at all... if only because I don't have enough to waste!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It seems fate that <i>Moneysupermarket.com </i>are having a competition involving up to 30 ideas on ways to save money (entering is simple so click the link to find out how). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Where and how to save - it's all well and good saving pennies and pounds but knowing where to put it is key, for example looking for a tax free ISA if you've got even a little money you can put aside for a year or two. A freshly opened account will give you a better rate but if your rate has been lowed after time go into the branch to discuss a new rate, banks want your savings so give it a try.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. Know what you spend - it's all to easy to ignore how much you spent or argue that owning dozens of the same nail varnish colour is fine because you didn't buy them all together. Try actually looking at your bank statements, if you use cash try using your card only for a month and keep a note of what you spend any cash on if you have to use it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
3. Discount codes - googling the website along with 'voucher codes' can turn up all sorts, even if it just covers shipping costs, or consider signing up for their email newsletter since most come with initial discounts (for examples H+M's 25%). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
4. Change adds up - 'look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves' we've all heard the saying but it seems a little old fashioned (from then pennies brought more) but try keeping your small coins in a jar until it's full then count them up, you can count it and take it to the bank (free) or a coin machine at a supermarket (for a fee) or pay the good Samaritan and drop the contents off at a charity shop.. or even use it to buy something at the charity shop.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">

I'm using a jar like this for 5p-20ps and when it's full I'll be donating the change, probably to the RSPCA.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
5. Buying second hand - Charity shops are a great place to buy a bargain as are carboot sales and Ebay or Gumtree. When it comes to selling Ebay and Gumtree will earn you more (bare fees in mind Ebay 10% and Paypal are about 8% I think) but carboot sales will get you instant hard cash albeit less. Carboot pitch fee's are usually around £6 but after that it's all yours, if I take a full paste table of bits I usually make around £40-£60 (consider how the weather will affect turnout, undercover ones will draw a crowd as a cheap morning out in rain and outside ones help enjoy great sun).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
6. DIYcyling - Simple things like sanding a paint a wooden object will provide great re-freshed storage (I brought a 40p letter holder and painted it for my eyeshadow pallets) as will modifying clothes by cutting, sewing or dying... though if you're using a washing machine dye in one that's not yours consider the damage, I want to dye a pair of jeans my perfect purple but my mother won't allow it. If you have an item you want to modify just youtube it for ideas and tutorials.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
7. Shop around - if it's online its ease to look around (remember delivery charges) but it can feel awkward going from Boots to Superdrug to compare especially if you find the first place was cheapest to begin with but if you're shopping alone no ones really going to pay much attention to what shops you're going in... possibly with the exception of odd looks from the security guards but smile sweetly rather than staring them out and they won't really care. We think about this with big purchases but saving £'s now leaves you £'s for later.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
8. Think - it's not just about what you spend it's about what you buy, do you need a dozen eyeshadow palettes What about those 5 clear nail varnishes you have around the place? You can argue until you're blue in the face that you do or that they where cheap but there is a difference between stocking up on cheap-on-offer essentials and just buying things because their cheap. If you have 3 draws of clothes you've barely worn in the 6 months it's been since you brought them on sale, then it's probably time to let go of them.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
9. Compare values - I don't mean prices, I mean what else you could be spending the money on. I'm going to Italy in July, thanks to my lovely mother, but understandably I need to bring my own spending money so everything I do buy I purchase with the Trevi fountain at the front of my mind along with its surrounding pretty cafes and <u><b><i><span style="font-family: inherit;">shops!</span></i></b></u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u><b><i><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></i></b></u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">10. Windfalls - Christmas and birthdays for me a great, my birthdays in November so I save my money and add it to my Christmas money for the new year sales. I was hoping I could find a Michael Kors watch on sale, I couldn't </span>despite<span style="font-family: inherit;"> heading the Bichester outlet store, but luckily I'd saved enough money to buy it and the insurance without an offer. If you get this money consider it not part of the everyday money you rely on, the the amount </span>varies anyway<span style="font-family: inherit;">, save it and put it aside.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">11. Outlet stores - Portsmouth's </span><span style="color: black;">Gunwharf Quays is great they have a body shop outlet on Estee Lauder brand outlet (that means MAC and Bobbi Brown) as well as a Yo!sushi store or Tiger Tiger for hot hearty mac and cheese where as Bichester in Oxford is designer with Michael Kors and V. Westwood store along with an Alexander Mcqueen and a Starbucks as well as their Estee Lauder outlet.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;">12. Resist or remove - if you can't resist spending money thats in your account then get it our of there into an account you can't use with a chip and pin or online then leave the card at home as well to remove the temptation to pop in-branch for a little expendable cash boost.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;">13. Use it or lose it - If you're not using a product ask your self why, if you're not going to use it pass it on, sell it or throw it out. Take those one used and disliked nail varnishes to a carboot and label the box 50p or £1, those false eyelashes you brought in a moment of 'I can totally wear lashes, I should wear them!' only to regret buying them after trying the first pair; why not list them on Ebay as a set?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: black;">14. Cheapest isn't always best - buying a cheap £5 pair of shoes that last a fortnight before they begin falling apart may seem like a cheap option but buying a £15 pair that last a good 6 months will work out much better for your purse. A bottle of perfume will last longer than a body spray, Highstreet brands so great scents for under £10 that will last months so how does going through a two bottles of Impulse a month make sense?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u><br /></u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
15. Bogof - you might not need two bottles of conditioner now but if you can get one free when you buy your normal set of one shampoo and one conditioner then its logical to get the extra one especially if you know you'll use it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
16. Wishlists - if you're an impulse buyer make a wishlist and don't buy anything that has been on it for less than two weeks since this will give you time to think about it, would you rather wait two weeks or be looking at it with regrets in two weeks?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
17. Returns - when buying online sizes can be tricky so check the return information before you buy, especially on sale items, if in doubt don't buy it. You won't save money in the long run if you're suck with clothes you can't wear and if it's on sale still you'll have to wait to list it online while people can find a cheap/cheaper version they can buy right now.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
18. Size matters - if you know you have problems finding clothes that fit don't buy online unless you're sure, even with returns available, just go in stores and try clothes on. You'll save so much time and postage money (since if you're returning things from a problem on your end you usually have to pay the postage to return them).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So those are my tips and ideas for saving money. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'll hopefully be post more often again now I'm nearly finished with college for the summer, though I still have work experience to go which will be 10 hard days.<br />
<br />
Do you have any tips? Are you entering the competition.<br />
If you are post a link below since I'm always interested in ideas to save.</div>

I love MAC pigments at the minute, I'm using them near daily, but this one seems to be getting a little neglected. Circa Plum is a nice almost grey-mauve colour with shimmer and a almost a little copper in it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I brought mine with the Lulu Guinness collection that came out a while ago. I can't find it on the MAC website but I've seen it recently in Estee Lauder outlets.</div>

I spent months looking for this pigment, it was a limited edition that came out with a collection a while ago (Felines something or other).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTWnGXGl9WRkAzFrzCr05scj9J_G8lZoaWsZaH1jrjeiue5Xp-Ccten_eQ1_BuSObLZzuao9dAsb6Gp4KAlv-cUN48vB4YM4bi-RMr9g9m-CnGWRi1vjbqaBTE6JRpPr6-MNnuP2gn_xQ/s1600/P3120156.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTWnGXGl9WRkAzFrzCr05scj9J_G8lZoaWsZaH1jrjeiue5Xp-Ccten_eQ1_BuSObLZzuao9dAsb6Gp4KAlv-cUN48vB4YM4bi-RMr9g9m-CnGWRi1vjbqaBTE6JRpPr6-MNnuP2gn_xQ/s320/P3120156.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
MAC Bloodline pigment</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjz8Op2uTwFAX7YMmku4_EUq3mF-WrHc_rT11RBKzHYIze-oRma0svpijrVyqvk5YnOijj1tMCWyrAkOjxaPzvQ4RILkB1KPzUTAwuP-BKwN_kIqQ_xjL2hibp-yrNipCFm8w27w8qyZgQ/s1600/P3120160.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjz8Op2uTwFAX7YMmku4_EUq3mF-WrHc_rT11RBKzHYIze-oRma0svpijrVyqvk5YnOijj1tMCWyrAkOjxaPzvQ4RILkB1KPzUTAwuP-BKwN_kIqQ_xjL2hibp-yrNipCFm8w27w8qyZgQ/s320/P3120160.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
MAC bloodline pigment left-wet right-dry, no bases.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I don't think the swatches above do it justice, despite my best efforts the purple edge this has to it just won't show up, that being said the swatches still look pretty good. It looks great wet (just run your eyeshadow brush under the cold tap and gently place it into the pigment).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As much as I've been loving pigments recently this has been the trickiest MAC pigment to try and wear really it's too dark and matte to wear as a mono eyshadow, so I've been using it wet as an eyeliner.</div>
I've get to brave a pigment dark smokey eye but I'm planning to do so soon so I should hopefully have a EOTD post on this soon.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09191717815859204668noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7128494056879149857.post-59368526267351030312013-03-20T03:00:00.000-07:002013-03-20T03:00:16.910-07:00MAC Teal Pigment<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This was the first MAC pigment I ever brought, I got it in a Tartan Tale gift set from Estee Lauders Portsmouth outlet since my getting into MAC was just after this collection was released.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_d08JXT2V7ji7qDDMCs6CF2vxRUV2F8mcy_dATdCMr9lCaZVOuDNHlkqASWcnspfwo6h8p1_cTmRbkOQuvZHNO_VfqMxrb9VKkhFhZunnYXBiYt8NCvzY73pDNKd38u_lzfVBkhmgec4/s1600/P3120137.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_d08JXT2V7ji7qDDMCs6CF2vxRUV2F8mcy_dATdCMr9lCaZVOuDNHlkqASWcnspfwo6h8p1_cTmRbkOQuvZHNO_VfqMxrb9VKkhFhZunnYXBiYt8NCvzY73pDNKd38u_lzfVBkhmgec4/s320/P3120137.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
MAC Teal pigment</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVYa0-lptLoyiNLpZKyxDvlg2z20utiF66mCLLbwDbZRV_S1pMpM7X-vBDHOKda6lUacjsj9iBHe8tb9yL94rwrDjtutLBSFR-wWWjQDNTXzN0Bq6KuPvpn_CKtZ06S-UaduYG5-xzC3M/s1600/P3120140.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVYa0-lptLoyiNLpZKyxDvlg2z20utiF66mCLLbwDbZRV_S1pMpM7X-vBDHOKda6lUacjsj9iBHe8tb9yL94rwrDjtutLBSFR-wWWjQDNTXzN0Bq6KuPvpn_CKtZ06S-UaduYG5-xzC3M/s320/P3120140.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
MAC Teal pigment (dry, without a base).<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I really like to wear this colour with a matte black or matte grey crease, the shimmer in this makes for a nice contrast.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Teal is permanent and can be brought from just about anywhere that sells MAC or from their <i><a href="http://maccosmetics.co.uk/">website</a>.</i></div>

MAC do some of the best lipsticks around and I love their lustre finish ones, Syrup is no exception.</div>
It's a lovely my lips but better colour without being the your typical nude or pink.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's got a bit of pink to it that give it that almost natural blood-flush, like natural blushing.</div>
Wear time is about 2 hours, typical of a lustre.<br />

Readers meet my rubbish, rubbish meet the readers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPhfew6jJxTT0gRRIe24O45KH4Ck9c8ZTbX68YMPl79FxoR1hlVkvRZCnD2AFoRAnFNg4D8dPEgzUcH6Pahv4VNuSOWZUrzL0ur7rg15MlHqCYoP5l6Oj1TPONuumbNv3tHpSt-9dl82U/s1600/P3170280.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgPhfew6jJxTT0gRRIe24O45KH4Ck9c8ZTbX68YMPl79FxoR1hlVkvRZCnD2AFoRAnFNg4D8dPEgzUcH6Pahv4VNuSOWZUrzL0ur7rg15MlHqCYoP5l6Oj1TPONuumbNv3tHpSt-9dl82U/s320/P3170280.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Since January first I've been <strike>attempting</strike> on a spending ban. Taking cue from the 100 day challenge going around I, being a typical makeup addict, asked myself how I could get the same satisfaction but quicker which lead to to ask 'How many items could I finish in that time?'. A project 10 pan lasts about three weeks but a few of those in a row would take longer to do, I decided on 30.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pictured above are the finished items with packaging I could keep hold of (I get quite a few uses out of a Lush bubble bar but it doesn't have lasting packing so I counted them anyway, along with groups of single use sachets). These took me 70 days to finish.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJH3SiyMQtww0uLLC6Hgxa2UgHQsg9FHPoDj6jKHUb-LmxQNn77QtjJvtDDNfDIwKOhWBkoouxsR5GzQvLq8-7Nagh_o-w5eumsEiRcj5EOBmsetCffaP1IO90FX-bTNMZ0ofVstjq73E/s1600/P3170282.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJH3SiyMQtww0uLLC6Hgxa2UgHQsg9FHPoDj6jKHUb-LmxQNn77QtjJvtDDNfDIwKOhWBkoouxsR5GzQvLq8-7Nagh_o-w5eumsEiRcj5EOBmsetCffaP1IO90FX-bTNMZ0ofVstjq73E/s320/P3170282.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Hair items, left to right; <br />
Tresemme Remoisturise conditioner - nice enough and good value, it's a 900ml bottle so lasts ages. Repurchase, maybe.<br />
The body shop Rainforest Moisture shampoo - silicon, sulphate, colourant and parabenfree, the sulphate free part means it doesn't lather well and I ended up getting through this very quickly. Repurchase, no<br />
Lee Stafford hair growth shampoo, conditioner and hair mask - the conditioner and hair mask are great but the shampoo is very drying. Repurchase, shampoo no conditioner or mask maybe.<br />
VO5 heat protect spray - works okay and doesn't leave hair greasy but the smell is too musky for my liking. Repurchase, no.<br />

Body and face care, left to right;</div>
Sure Aqua Clear anti-perspirant - not a fan of this, used it for the sake of it. Repurchase, no.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The body shop Chocomaina scurb - this is a sugar scrub so its best to use it on damp skin but keep it away from other water, it leaves an oil on the skin which can take a while to absorb but it leaves skin very soft.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The body shop peach fuzz shower gel - nice smell and lasts forever. Repurchase, yes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cutex Nourishing nail varnish remover - removes varnish nicely... not much else to say. Repurchase, yes.</div>
Soap and glory The righteous butter - nice enough but a bit greasy for my taste, i'd try the daily smooth instead. Repurchase, no.<br />
Yes to Carrots Exfoliating facial cleanser - great for dry and combination skin, adds nourishment to dry patches without making oily areas worse. Repurchase, definitely.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Yes to Carrots Moisurizing day cream - too heavy for the face, I ended up using it on my elbows.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Botanics Rehydrating body butter - nice enough, absorbs fairly quickly. Repurchase, maybe as a body butter.</div>
Botanics Reviving body wash - quite nice, the smell isn't over powering and it leaves skin feeling clean. Repurchase, maybe.<br />
Botanics Revealing body polish - didn't like this, it's a bit stringy (for lack of a better word). Repurchase, no.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The body shop Wild rose hand cream - smells nice but is a little greasy. Repurchase, no.</div>
Johnson's baby wipes x 2 - I love these, especially the all skin type ones. Repurchase, yes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Makeup and nails, left to right;<br />
Models own Purple blue - opaque in two coats, not very blue. Repurchase, maybe.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
GOSH Gypsy blue - Opaque in two coats but goes off very quickly. Repurchase, maybe.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
China Glaze CG in the city - I love this glitter in a clear base, it's opaque in two coats, but I got through it so quickly. Repurchase, yes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
OPI Dulce de Leche - A nice pink toned nude that's opaque in one or two coats. Repurchase, maybe.</div>
Bad Gal Lash - One of my favorite mascaras, very black and great with sensitive eyes but doesn't really lengthen. Repurchase, yes.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Urban Decay Perversion - a great pure black eye pencil, once it sets it doesn't budge, I love it. Repurchase, definitely.</div>

I have two MAC pro palettes, I've collected the colours one or two at a time over the last 2 or so years and for that time they're really the only eyeshadows I've brought and most of them have been purchased at Estee Lauder outlets rather than in MAC stores/counters. I know some people are fanatical about use by dates and usage lengths and they might say an eyeshadow only has a life of 2 years but frankly my face is always clean before I apply makeup and only really I use my makeup so they don't bother me much. </div>

If you read my <i><a href="http://purpleglitterandlipstick.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/ysl-glossy-stain-5-rouge-vintage.html">post</a></i> from earlier in the week you'll know how much I love these.<br />
This was the first one I brought. I was looking for my ideal purple lipcolour (not caring if it was a stick, gloss or stain), I went all around a large boots looking at every possible purple then all around the beauty hall of a House of Fraser until I eventually found this colour, I had to have it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIXcFZaxgXsA5taYCWc2VGTjojM2v932Q3B1CkQO1Aml3__KLW6gaTFdfz-QZhvCYZq0p1fg83IFmTvXwA3lrOMKADmlOBzq1AMA5lqLCyBYLQkmBHwwMqaDwTNPKDLResJTjG7qlFhLs/s1600/P3120207.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIXcFZaxgXsA5taYCWc2VGTjojM2v932Q3B1CkQO1Aml3__KLW6gaTFdfz-QZhvCYZq0p1fg83IFmTvXwA3lrOMKADmlOBzq1AMA5lqLCyBYLQkmBHwwMqaDwTNPKDLResJTjG7qlFhLs/s320/P3120207.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Yves Saint Laurent Vernis A Levres in #22 Prune Minimal<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My advice is to treat this like nail varnish, get it on neat and quick then don't touch it (or your lips together) for a good few minutes. It needs this time to set and change consistency but once it's on it won't move for as long as you leave it alone, it survives drinking easily but the glossy feeling won't survive eating.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeESHib4b08H6Cz3O1Q0VOKQ55hlsrD898ZbYj-upC7S9c7fOT5uvwFfDmtxuQZWP47xzmQutf9J8kkC-fasCoVVrhZ5GtZmoUq37Xae-XN-I61K7iX3wUisvjRHUgVvfjU2PqJBRID54/s1600/P3120240+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="185" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeESHib4b08H6Cz3O1Q0VOKQ55hlsrD898ZbYj-upC7S9c7fOT5uvwFfDmtxuQZWP47xzmQutf9J8kkC-fasCoVVrhZ5GtZmoUq37Xae-XN-I61K7iX3wUisvjRHUgVvfjU2PqJBRID54/s320/P3120240+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It didn't want to be photographed otherwise i'd have included a lip swatch.</div>

I love MAC lipsticks, they're lovely and when you line them up they look like soldiers with black helmets.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lovelorn is a nice colour, its not too bright but it still has that feel of barbie pink to it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEk2uc6ozZALX2-XDat3yqL2PLATIm4TlO9K1UDd6oswEcfSq0n8ITlK8TxVk61tNCZlddnxHmL2nnS5KKHLpmqVBzanVZBEcuskjoV4RFxy7QKTA2spTnFGKWxe3UeydxqHPIM-4h8RQ/s1600/P3120063.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEk2uc6ozZALX2-XDat3yqL2PLATIm4TlO9K1UDd6oswEcfSq0n8ITlK8TxVk61tNCZlddnxHmL2nnS5KKHLpmqVBzanVZBEcuskjoV4RFxy7QKTA2spTnFGKWxe3UeydxqHPIM-4h8RQ/s320/P3120063.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
MAC lovelorn - Lustre finish</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM9DPrzhcKpDL1YPvLzlD0_jCw9o3Anwb6JzovgAzpIJbrzrAegBEKz-F6v7Ca-HtviRnxpjc-fpsCChLamvb0eZmc95k-kqVJ4RPSBVPhuxx2Ngpeb3nZPT561c0PMx0Tasak46WXtww/s1600/P3120065.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="208" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM9DPrzhcKpDL1YPvLzlD0_jCw9o3Anwb6JzovgAzpIJbrzrAegBEKz-F6v7Ca-HtviRnxpjc-fpsCChLamvb0eZmc95k-kqVJ4RPSBVPhuxx2Ngpeb3nZPT561c0PMx0Tasak46WXtww/s320/P3120065.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Wear time is only a few hours, the norm with most Lustre finishes.</div>
The colour comes out a little lighter on lips than it looks it the tube. It's a Lustre but it's got a little cream finish to it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
On the odd occasion I wear false eyelashes pair this with them to balance out the heaviness of the lashes without looking too over done.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

This is one of few highstreet lipsticks that have caught my eye in years, generally the formula's are disagreeable. This one is a nice purple-red colour, pigmented, satin finish though best avoided if you've got dry lips.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These Lasting finish lipsticks are posted every where at the minute so since I own a few purple shades I thought I would compare them in this post rather just swatch the one shade.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Lip balms are hardly glamorous but are really essential most of the year round. So many lipbalms just put a layer over the lips that rubs off and ultimately do nothing. Enter Nuxe.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Nuxe Reve de Miel lipbalms.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I know having two might not make much sense but I brought the pot first however the pots only real down fall is that the product melts slightly in heat and gets a little sticky plus it's glass and heavy so I found a discount code and brought the stick version to keep in my handbag. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The dent in the pot is from a cotton bud, my applicator of choice for the pot to keep it from getting under my finger nails. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Performance wise their similar (both make lips feel soft and nourished) but the pot feels thicker, more luxurious and generally seems to last that bit longer. If you tend to just apply lip balm before bed to work it's magic over night the pot if definitely best for you but if you like to keep your balm with you then go with the stick just for convenice.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That being said the prices of the different types are also interesting, the stick has 4g where as the pot has 15g making the product in the pot half the price.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Stick - <i><a href="http://www.feelunique.com/p/NUXE-Reve-de-Miel-Stick-Levres-Hydratant-Lip-Moisturizing-Stick-4g">£5.50</a> = </i>£1.37 per gram</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Pot - <i><a href="http://www.feelunique.com/p/NUXE-Reve-de-Miel-Baume-Levres-Ultra-Nourrissant-Ultra-Nourishing-Lip-Balm-15g">£9.50</a> = </i>£0.63 per gram</div>

I've recently really taken a liking to pigments and loose eyeshadows and Aurora is the one I've been reaching for most.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

MAC's Aurora pigment</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love this colour, it's a combination of gold and a tan shade but perfectly wearable. I've been adding a hint or green eyeliner or matte purple smudged along above my top lashes for a quick hint of colour before collage in the mornings (I have to catch an 8am train 3 days a week, I have no time in the mornings but if I don't bother with makeup I look like death's rather grumpy minion).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Aurora isn't listed on MAC's UK site at the minute, I brought mine from the Estee Lauder outlet in Bicester/Oxford.</div>

It's no surprise by now that I love MAC lipsticks, they make up the majority of the lip products I own.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I brought Coral bliss hoping it would be similar to MAC's ever hip, it's a similar finish but they're not really close enough for a dupe. However it's still a nice peach/coral/orange coloured creamsheen.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
MAC Coral Bliss applied lightly.</div>
If you try to build up high cover with this it clings to every bit of dryness and looks awful and moves around your mouth, you end up looking how the joker would if he'd gone off red.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Wear time, when you go lightly, is about 2-3 hours.</div>

I've fallen in love with these Yves Saint Laurent Vernis a Levres (aka. glossy stains). I only own two because they're just so expensive but more shall be mine... as soon as I can afford the pretties.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5FWcJ4sSq6yRISsJuOUOYpyfPapk63pXKJyWZpj-mNgjSbFzux0sc_BHdc6xeKah3k_SukKejG6GGHxWhdASjeCBfjxeIUzYgQo7bRUWA8b0VTmQTpYXCqlv7wQ2qWc6M_5PJhZ1JP40/s1600/P3120098.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5FWcJ4sSq6yRISsJuOUOYpyfPapk63pXKJyWZpj-mNgjSbFzux0sc_BHdc6xeKah3k_SukKejG6GGHxWhdASjeCBfjxeIUzYgQo7bRUWA8b0VTmQTpYXCqlv7wQ2qWc6M_5PJhZ1JP40/s320/P3120098.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
YSL Vernis a Levres - #5 Rouge Vintage</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love this shade, it's a lovely cream/gloss type finish in a rose color.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM3fkpDoPVl7uGLqORFfhPl7-NmFzwWsTagN27psk6BpManCLBlFG99B_zFTWWjvtMRtV8T5ckrNWHszmTWEQ34FfzhFRpRTkEFlX9pHXHK_KyPAWq73S1d1eXCxaV-XJzvYZJoHOIO04/s1600/P3120105.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="238" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM3fkpDoPVl7uGLqORFfhPl7-NmFzwWsTagN27psk6BpManCLBlFG99B_zFTWWjvtMRtV8T5ckrNWHszmTWEQ34FfzhFRpRTkEFlX9pHXHK_KyPAWq73S1d1eXCxaV-XJzvYZJoHOIO04/s320/P3120105.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It does set darker on the lips than it is in the tube.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The trick with these is applying with the applicator and not touching your lips together for several minutes. The application can look/feel a little strange until these minutes have past, it definitely changes after this and last for hours.</div>

<a href="http://oi47.tinypic.com/33uenf9" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://oi47.tinypic.com/33uenf9" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Here's my current nail varnish, one coat of Models Own Peacock green with one coat of Emerald City over the top. I couldn't get a picture of this that truely does the brightness of Emerald City justice.<br />
I've had this combination on for less than 24 hours and there's already some tip wear so not the best lasting combination, I did use a basecoat but no top coat. As the nail on the left shows my nail painting skills leave alot to be desired.<br />
<br />
So thats my current notd and i'm kind of loving the glitter<br />

Recently I've been playing around with scar/nose wax so given that Halloween is coming up I thought i'd share a few pictures.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1RPLJqNITjI2XmI5AmN8nM79LaWrziQRnm6ynDECO4VA7NT9bMFf7r0qVt6IWwnDLNQxa7oF6oLSJ6nWjEWue9EWbPC2MnhAt9UMBr8EOwhkBf3Nmo66slkd-sVeDnwr0rSuWkTO5JoI/s1600/gore+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1RPLJqNITjI2XmI5AmN8nM79LaWrziQRnm6ynDECO4VA7NT9bMFf7r0qVt6IWwnDLNQxa7oF6oLSJ6nWjEWue9EWbPC2MnhAt9UMBr8EOwhkBf3Nmo66slkd-sVeDnwr0rSuWkTO5JoI/s320/gore+5.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My first attempt with the wax, figured I'd start with the obvious cut.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsiFd2gwAayqIHg5z6QVWPTxZ975Ac_K7N3klV9C6ssr2yyNLRMVrV9uZBF366PpJfzxxSmujZOVrp5A_Ft6mDeAlSS56HokvzEw2t9P1Csju2rPjp8ho5-R1FZ1nh5DOqRa82QZ8QsUQ/s1600/gore+4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsiFd2gwAayqIHg5z6QVWPTxZ975Ac_K7N3klV9C6ssr2yyNLRMVrV9uZBF366PpJfzxxSmujZOVrp5A_Ft6mDeAlSS56HokvzEw2t9P1Csju2rPjp8ho5-R1FZ1nh5DOqRa82QZ8QsUQ/s320/gore+4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then I tried Freddie Krueger-esq cuts.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBIicB3JbtB0YmjXOcXtyZH5fs7yfzFRuRAhTt5zzB47nV0qTYXoIcyXle2WieRpS6vpopFGCwIKtsdKW30uzjtxtnJvqlGJvUb1X2z4rpdNJPOCMrQK_FW7jBXXnmbFWkTMAKjF6dpNQ/s1600/gore+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="293" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBIicB3JbtB0YmjXOcXtyZH5fs7yfzFRuRAhTt5zzB47nV0qTYXoIcyXle2WieRpS6vpopFGCwIKtsdKW30uzjtxtnJvqlGJvUb1X2z4rpdNJPOCMrQK_FW7jBXXnmbFWkTMAKjF6dpNQ/s320/gore+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A close-up edit, I really love this picture.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Grazed knees, edited because it helps distract from my legs and brings out the red.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Fight makeup.<br />Contrast edited only, just to bring out detail and help with bad natural lighting.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY2cwoNgugVJRPyqENtmZQ169dQEz3K7AiQZfjdXrdUW7_q9iBbgCFVKNBaEBSKywWq3oG7KTy6WXxRaIEdNt8fAKN4ntel2zlgNMW9AxgcrNWiVLTP7aqyr3R7uaXX8C-9qLUv9WKUz0/s1600/PA222074.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY2cwoNgugVJRPyqENtmZQ169dQEz3K7AiQZfjdXrdUW7_q9iBbgCFVKNBaEBSKywWq3oG7KTy6WXxRaIEdNt8fAKN4ntel2zlgNMW9AxgcrNWiVLTP7aqyr3R7uaXX8C-9qLUv9WKUz0/s320/PA222074.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And finally tonights playing around that inspired the post...<br />my first Joker scar attempt. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had real trouble getting the wax to stay still, it got too warm and didn't stay put, so it looks more uneven than planned. </div>

I did a little shopping today, okay more than a little, and picked up a few makeup and body bits.<br />These are the first things i've brought in weeks, since I've been trying to use up items that I've barely touched<br />(I also went through all my nail varnishes working out which ones i'd used in the last 2 months then made myself try out all the others, as a result of which 3 were thrown out because they were awful).<br /></div>

I'm planning a post with swatches of all my MAC lipsticks so a swatch will follow (as will a review on the skin base once i've used it a few times).<br />Cubic is what I was hoping for from Benefits Dallas, a muted pink-brown that isn't too harsh on pale skin like a typical bronzer.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I've nearly finished my current shower gel (a little 100ml bottle of Lush's Happy Hippy) and I don't think i'll be repurchasing so a new shower gel would have been needed probably by the end of next week anyway.<br />The hand cream smells lovely so this and the hand sanitizer have been earmarked for school use.<br />The body mist is lovely, very cherry-ish but not overpowering.</div>

I was fairly restrained in Brighton last weekend, I only brought two things in MAC (not including the lipstick I traded in empties for).<br /> </div>

It can look a little pink depending on the lighting.<br />Its a really wearable colour because its slightly sheerer than most reds and I can see this suiting anyone.<br />If you're a little hesitant of red lipstick I'd check this one out, I'd say its a fairly fool proof colour.<br />On hold is a creamsheen, I thought it was luster until I started writing this because its more luster than creamy, and wear time wise it lasts 3 or 4 hours.</div>
